Hi, I’m Jess.
Currently seeing kids 5+, teens, and adults.
I believe that counseling is a collaborative process where the expertise of the client and counselor combine to meet each individual's unique needs.
It is my priority to create a safe, genuine, non-judgmental environment in which you feel heard, understood, and accepted.
I am passionate about walking with you on your journey to learning about your self, managing life's challenges, and reaching your full potential.
As a former international student, I have personal experience with and understanding of some of the hardships faced by this community, and would love to connect with you and help you adjust to a different culture and life.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults who are working to heal their trauma; navigating stress, grief and loss; seeking personal growth; and managing anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
I use primarily a person-centered, strength-based approach while incorporating strategies from CBT, DBT, ACT, and Play Therapy, among other modalities, to meet you where you are and help you progress toward your goals.
I work to understand each person's holistic self, including their intersecting identities, in the context of an interconnected social system. I am fluent in both English and Mandarin.
